从前，在一个遥远的山脚下，有一片神奇的湖泊。湖中有一轮明月，每当夜幕降临，月光洒在湖面上，波光粼粼，美得如诗如画。这片湖泊被附近的猴子们视为宝地，每年农历七月，猴子们都会举行一场盛大的“猴子捞月”活动。
在这个月里，猴子们纷纷来到湖边，他们有的站在石头上，有的攀爬在树枝上，还有的甚至跳进了湖里，试图捞到那轮明月。然而，明月始终高悬在天际，遥不可及。
小猴子乐乐是个好奇心旺盛的孩子，他看着其他猴子忙碌的身影，心里也痒痒的。他决定也要试试看，能不能捞到那轮明月。
乐乐找来一根长长的竹竿，上面绑了一块布，看起来像是一个捞月的工具。他站在湖边，瞪大了眼睛，瞄准那轮明月，用力地挥舞着竹竿。可是，无论他怎么努力，明月还是纹丝不动。
乐乐不气馁，他跑到湖边，捡起一块石头，想要用它来砸碎湖面，看看能不能把月亮砸下来。然而，石头砸在湖面上，只是溅起了一片水花，月亮依旧完好无损。
就在乐乐快要放弃的时候，一只老猴子走过来，拍了拍乐乐的肩膀，

猴子捞月

One day,a little monkey(猴子) is piaying by the well(水井).

一天，一只小猴子在井边玩。

He looks in the well and shouts, “Oh! Mygod!The moon has fallen into the well!”

它往井里一瞧并高喊道：“噢！我的天！月亮掉到井里啦！”

An older monkey runs over, takes a look,and says, “Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”

一只较大的猴子跑过来，一看，说，“天啊！月亮真的在水里！”

An elderly monkey comes over.He is very surprised(惊奇的) as well and cries out,“The moon is in the well.”

一只老猴子走过来。他也非常惊奇并喊道：“月亮在井里！”

A group of monkeys run over to the well.

一群猴子跑到井边。

They look at the moon in the well and shout, “The moon did fall into the well! Come on! Let’ s get it out!”

他们看着井里的月亮喊道：“月亮真的掉到井里啦！快来！让我们把它捞出来！”

Then, the oldest monkey hangs on the tree upside down,with his feet hooking on the branch(树枝).

然后，那只最老的猴子倒挂在大树上，他的脚勾在树枝上。

Then he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.

然后他用手拉着下一只猴子的脚。

All the other monkeys follow this suit, and they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.

其他所有的猴子一只只跟风照做，它们一只接着一只去够井里的月亮。

Just before they reach the moon, the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky.

就在他们碰到月亮之前，那只老猴子抬起他的头，碰巧看见月亮在天上。

He yells excitedly, “Don’t be so foolish(愚蠢的)! The moon is still in the sky!”

它兴奋地大叫：“别这么愚蠢了！月亮还在天上呢！”
